You need to use "Modified Open SP 1.1 for TNG". I just tried it, and it works fine. Only problem is that I can't find the download on either this site or Starfyre Studios site. I'll check with Reynen about it and post again with his reply. BTW, it does show in red that Modified Open SP conflicts with TNG 2.56, but I ran it anyway just clearing through the FLMod warnings.
Keep monitoring this forum as I will reply with an answer about getting the file. For now, I suggest trying multiplayer which will start you out at the beginning with no story line. There are several good servers available.

Edit: Ok, heard from Reynen. We're going to test it a bit, might have problems reaching new systems and factions, but we'll give it a good go round and let you know. Again, for now, try multiplayer for non storyline play. Will advise in a few days what we find.

If you still have the modified open sp 1.1 for tng, go ahead and give it a shot, and let us know how you're doing with it. Also, if you could, try to get into the new systems and find the "hidden" worlds and bases. We'd love to hear your feedback on this.
If you don't still have it, I'll try to track it down and get it for you.

Damn, I can't find the .exe for it. I have it on my FLMM list, but I must have deleted the original download. I'll see if I can get it from Reynen for you to test out for us.
