I don't play MP (not very good at it) so I have not had the opportunity to enjoy TNG. I also understand why you would decide to leave FL.

I can only suggest, thought, that all the intellectual capital you invested in TNG, including the not yet released 2.0 is something of value for yourself that you may want to finish ... for yourself.

I respect your ultimate decision, whatever it is but I sense that a tremendous amount of time and energy that you put into this may be wasted and that might be a greater shame to you when you look back.

Just a thought for you to consider.

Even though I've never met you, I have great respect for you and your work.
I would've abandoned FL a long time ago, but your hard work and brilliant mod(s) kept me coming back.
I never doubted that the e-mail(s) you received were indeed a hoax, because Microsoft and Digital Anvil can show nothing but gratitude for what you've done.
So, please, for the sake of justice and the long hours and energy invested in TNG (and modding in general) DO NOT GIVE UP. I know it must be hard giving away something to make people happy then receiving a bitter 'thanks'...

i guess 2.0 might be delayed a bit.

i hope this email is hoax from a person who dont like tng cause that means ms did not care much starfyre was doing to the game.

I heard from some people ms is coming out with freelancer 2 soon, if ms did sent it they proably trying to scare tng to stop modding cause it was too similar to part two of freelancer which might seem logical cause they would not make as much money they did with freelancer when people could dl tng instead

Reynen is taking a months break, and if I hear once more about death threats at Rey,Ill go crazy, that kind of crap of is not frikking funny, it is a serious crime, for which there is a penalty, imprisonment.

Rey, call the cops and get them to trace the calls, then sue the guy and get him thrown in jail.

I've worked on some basic "mods", though I use the term loosely since they've all involved me using Freelancer Explorer to manipulate the game's environements.
Though I myself did not really like the version of TNG that I played, I do respect your work as a modder, and recognize that TNG has done more good for the community than negative... But I cannot help but feel that you've handled this situation the wrong way.
And anyone who is pathetic enough to send you death threats/nasty phone calls over this little 'ordeal' should be locked up.

WOW!! Death threats that's kinda hardcore....but i'm sure you'll get those bastards some time!!
Anyway i'm glad to hear that work on TNG2.0 has just been stoped and not cancelled at all.
I also agree to the admin's opinion that it would make no sense to quit your work....than that hoaxer would win....don't let him!!!!

Like Chetnik said, I too have never met you in real life nor did I ever meet you in an on-line sector.

I must admit that I have never even played the TNG mod, but even by looking at it I saw what it was, and it is GOOD.

Also a few words to the person who is doing this: I wish you could see what this is doing. Instead of acting out of jealousy, you could just say that you don't like what he is doing.

2.0 either comes out or it doesent. I can accept it either way. Would I LIKE it to come out? Hell yeah, especially with all the goodies they're throwin' in there. Thats a heluva thing right there. But if not, then know that I will ALWAYS play TNG 1.6. Its too damned good to just give up on.

And trying to switch from Criminal to Trader is always fun, especially the 'blowing up Xenos' part.

Heh heres an Idea If some one is calling and giving death threat use caller id then report it... or send me the number the they called from and I will get the address and grab a few loyal 1.6 fans and we will go have an adult conversation with said indivdual face to face....come on we is just going to talk to him .
