Wrecks

I'm playing the 1.59 version and I would like to know what happen to the wrecks in the Liberty Systems

The wrecks are gone, they were causing crashes in many systems, plus people where exploiting them by creating server crashes just to loot them over and over again.

Taking wrecks out is a really bad idea, unless you make a substitute for them. Some people will not use the mod because of this. I know I would much rather loot a wreck and fight off hostiles than make petty cash on a faction mission.

Without wrecks, how do you get L10 weapons?

Put the wrecks back , there will always be ****s misusing the system. It shouldn't mess things up for everyone else.

Van:

How do you get lv 10 weapons? You BUY them from the vendor. Maybe you might try reading the readme before opening your mouth. Do you think I would take something out without putting someing else in it's place??

Also the house weapons own everything. They are equiv to lv 15 weapons so stuff from the wrecks are obsolete. You can continue to use lv 10 though, I'll be happy to use the NEW equipment....

The wrecks stay gone. This was also to prevent abuse by nomad weapons.

Reynan
You have indeed more than compensated for the absence of wrecks.

I just downloaded the mod for the first time yesterday, it was downloading while I wrote the post! I did not previously use it , nor did I have the readme.

I was doing research on this forum to see what info I could get before playing it. Smart people do this when it comes to using a huge mod like this, (especially considering that some mods actually have stability problems!), and I always pick up useful tips or information. Even your response, though rude considering that I am a newcomer to your mod, was informative and explained the wreck issue better than what is found in the readme -- which I have just thoroughly checked.

The wreck issue aside, I would like to THANK YOU for all of your hard work in making freelancer a more interesting and enjoyable game, especially for those who have played it often enough to set it aside if it were not for the mods. You modders have done a lot of hard work (even your readme file is extensive and well organized) and the gaming community appreciates it, even though everyone doesn't say so. In my opinion, Microsoft and Digital Anvil should be paying you guys.
Keep up the good work; looking forward to playing your mod today.

Get right with God; one day you are going to meet Him.
