Would it make sense to close this thread and open new ones for each individual bug/problem? I don't really see the point of keeping everything in a single thread ...

Ship infocards are are not good. For example on kusari GB it says it can cary 120 cargo I believe, well it caries less..around 40 I think. You might want to adjust that with some other ships too.

I was just wondering if you were going to reduce the length that the cruisers and battleships can hit you from. I'm getting pounded before I reach 1K.

DO you know how many things people would be duplicating? I don't have time to be addressing 10 of the same bugs every day. It also make sthen easier to note. I can read through one thread easier then 20. Then you have problem with people thinking THEIR bug is more important then the other perons..

Already did, but remember they need to be shoot father because they certainly can't manuver very well. Also for example the rheinland BS, the guns in the middle need to be able to shoot past the front of the ship...

Hello, Reynen.
Thanks for the last reply. OK, Just to start fresh, I de activated, then deleted the next generation 1.4 from flmm. then I re installed 1.2, put on the 1.4 patch, put on the mission 12 patch, re opened mission 12, and as soon as I left the Osiris, the same loop I described before happened. Ship vibrating and stuck, with much shield activation, going nowhere. Should I start fresh with a clean install of the game? or what? Thanks.

I think I know what is wrong with that. If the ship is longer than the width of Osiris, it will get stuck. I was trying to use the ku_gunboat and got stuck, then I read that you are not supposed to use cap ships in SP.

Are you sure you are not useing the Shadow CRUISER, instead of the Shadow CRAB? That might be it. Try useing a different ship 1 time to see if it works then.

Reynen, I don't know, but Is it possible to edit the Starting position of your ship for the missions? That might cut down on the Osiris problem.

By the Looks of all this, the Shadow ships might have to be removed if they are causing too many problems...

Hmm...my post will probably be ignored like always but since the problem affects all ppl on my friend´s (B[TcH) server I have to report this:

Several times before, when doing missions in the Nexus system it went well the first or couple of times but after that, first I got disconnected in middle of flight, sometimes in the middle of a tede lane. This last time after installing the mission 12 patch and it got installed on the server, everything went ok untill I went to the Nexus with my..hmm..don´t remember the name of them ship but it´s the better vesrion of X-wing...bought on New Tokyo...the one with 7 guns...
First mission went ok but in the middle of the way to next missions 1:st waypoint the server wenty bye bye...
Next time I tried to use my char the server went bye bye...so I made a new char...
Then I just satayed on manhattan and talked with some guy when the server went bye bye again...dunno if THAT crash was because of me, hopefully not.
Every time I go to the Nexus system and try to do missions there something like that happens...hoefully the situation will improvew with version 1.5 of the mod.

Btw, I will most probably start a freelancer server myself very soon. will have a new computer ready by tomorrow...which brings me to a question (wrong topic, sorry but can´t help myself...)...how many users can a P4 3Ghz with 512MB RAm take?

I found two minor bugs,

1. The ship dealer in battleship mississippi does not open correctly.

2. When the best path from new york to the nexus is made it goes through the sun not the worm hole.

@synapz, the only thing that REALLY matters is your connection. You are not going to be able to host that many people on a DSL line or a cable line. You need a lot of bandwidth.

@GrandMoffTarkin,
1. What does it do wrong? What version are you running?

2. Are you on the Phitsberg side of the Star, or are you on the Black Hole side of the star?

to people using gunboats on mission 12.
your not suppose to use anything that says capital size, the game was never meant to handle large ships in SP campiagn.

i think docking to planets in any battleship is a bad thing. i tried to leave New Berlin in a RH BS and i blew up.
but its ok. im mean very large ships should not be allowed to land on planets

When I was running a server for counter strike off of my comp, with a dsl line, I could get no more than four players without lagging to hell. I would think that Freelancer takes more bandwidth thats why i said that many.

No, sir, I am definately using the Shadow Crab, not the cruiser. And I think editing the starting position might be a step in the right direction. The ship acts like it is stuck inside of something. What corrupted files might be left over that my fresh install did not overwrite? The Shadow crab did fly two missions to the platform before this problem began. And how would I swap in a new ship at this point, The only ships for sale on the Osiris are Caps. TheMachine: Thanks for that input, at least I know it will work, I'm fairly certain it's a corrupt file somewhere on my machine. If somebody will just give me some stuff to try, That would be great.
