tool logging actions in dir

I'm looking for a tool that logs such things like files that are opened, read, written and closed.

It's useful for debugging mods. It happens regulary that freelancer crashes to desktop, while the console doesn't show any useful information. With this tool you can specify which directory needs to be scanned for any activity. Then, when freelancer crashes again, or when a bug occured, you can simply check that tool for the last logged activity, like a file that is opened. Afterwards you easily know which file has an error in it.

There are such tools that logs every sort of actions done on a file/directory. But I can't find any. Could someone help me please? Does anyone know a name of such a tool?

Thanks in advance

Kryben

filemon is the program you want - it can even filter file access by EXE name
