I don't suppose that anybody's tried to get ahold of Windu? Just curious...

Post Thu Dec 23, 2004 3:08 am

maybe, how to pm?

It would be great, if windu would continue the work on this mod!
So did anyone see him around, so that we can ask him? I think everyone would like to have a working 3D system Editor!

And Louva-Deus: I think that windu may still have the source code. If we had a functional 3D system Editor this would not mean the end for FL Explorer. For me it would be the best to have both, as I could do some things with FLE and others with the 3D editor (Some things are better in 3D but others are best to do with FLE). In my opinion FLE is a great tool for basics and maybe some advanced stuff, but things like 3D systems are very hard to do with it.

Hi!

I still have the latest version of the editor. I do only have the program folder, but it should work, as I got it in a zip file. I now also zipped it (with Winace) and it is 680kb.

I can send it to your E-mail address, if you want to.

Just write it here!

I have to say that this editor is a good beginning, but it is still very basic. If someone could work on it, it could maybe become an alternative to FL Explorer. So please to all the programmers out there, try to work on this program, it would be great to have a working 3D system Editor. If you need the program, I can send it to you.

Ok. I Know this is Possibly the Worst case of a Necropost Ever, but can you send the Latest Version of This Utility to my Email?
[email protected]
Thanks.

(I know I Necroposted Big-Time... Please Don't Hurt Me...)

@Ruppetthemuppet

I dont know why they would get after you as it shows you dug for what you needed. By the way good find

you might be more successful if you emailed him - lol. i did, i got the thing, and it didn't work. it's really nothing to worry about, just abandonware - it should be possible to do a much better job of it now from scratch, with a minimum of programming knowledge and a good familiarity with FL-systems INIs and dependencies for nebulas, asteroids, solars, encounters, etc.

Yeah I know...
I Just seems like a Really Interesting piece of Software and I want to see how he did it...
Also, It would come in handy for making Mods with things off the Normal Plane.

They should offer the file for download at filefront. All their links are broken fast. Or if the file is not bigger that 1.5MB they can upload it a my website: Netrisca

this link "netrisca" is broken...

Post Tue Aug 21, 2007 3:33 pm

Just checked the link, its working. You have to close out the ad window that overlaps it.

there is no link that works

I used this tool when it first came out, it worked for me, and I liked what it could do. The system display was cool too. There were still unfinished intentions naturally, but the kid was willing to go and implement them.

But sadly then Louva-Deus seemed to feel threatened and flamed him badly on the forum and that was the last we saw of the poor kid.

Louva, just for the record, you were a proper twat. Take this:

BTW - When are you going to develop FL Explorer a bit more?? I don't want to see bloody Bob Swaffar in every new bar in my universe, nor duplicate entries in my .dll file! And sadly the previews don't work on any of my 3 machines.

I for one would be very pleased if anyone can find this alternative and pick it up and continue development (or start a new one completely?).

Nice sentiments there... but I never feel threatened by anyone for any reason. And where did I ever flame him? Certainly not in this thread, and I don't remember anywhere else. It flopped because he gave up.

Freelancer Explorer development ended over a year ago. There is maybe a 1% chance that a final bug release revision will be put out someday but don't count on it. The next editor, if there is one, will be completely different and will include a 3D display. We're only waiting for someone with the skills and the time to pop onto the scene.
