Followup to Starlancer?

The game Starlancer had a lot of unrecognized potential. The whole conflict between the alliance and coalition was something really cool and could make a seriously great game, but all we got was a little prequel to Freelancer. I think there should be some kind of prequel to Starlancer that maybe had more ships and could let you play as the Coalition or fly bombers. I think the fans of the game deserve that much. I'm not saying that Freelancer is bad or anything, but if their gonna make two different games they should have given them both some real attention.

Agreed. However, for all I know, SL did not reach the heights in marketing that were planned for it, which discouraged the developers from continuig the story in the same way. I may be wrong, this is just a piece of rumors I've heard. I too feel a bit disappointed about the absence of a sequel to the game. On the other hand, as it was noted somewhere before, if you were allowed to go on participating in the conflict in person, the Alliance would've won, which would mean no Freelancer
As for flying Coalition ships, maybe they can be found in the downloads section (though I'm not sure). Still, this would not mean playing on the Coalition side. But then, again, with your participation the Alliance would be blasted to bits in no time, and we don't want this to happen, do we?

There is no greater fear than running out of beer!

hey, then it'd mean the side with u on would be the side to win... that means that ... u r the supreme decision maker, like the last to vote or such.

Moose: watch out! missile on our 6!!
pilot(you):u r in the rear seat, and its at our '6' - u first.

I'd just want an expansion pack so some of the nonplayable ships would be unlocked. Namely the coalition ships(as an alternate campaign), the torp bombers(come on, everyone knows they want to...one mission as a Kamov isn't enough), And the lower-end capital ships(Prowler, Kurgen, etc).

That would be enough to shut me up.

Reaper: $200,000,000.
Rockets: $100,000
The look on that pilot's face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless

Using SLTool, you can swap Coliation Fighters for the Alliance ones, you can't do swap the Torp Bombers though. There are also may Fan-Made Ships that can be downloaded from the site. Every wanted the fly as the Enterprise NX-01 fro Enterprise, for as a Hammerhead from Space: Above and Beyond?

Where is this SLTool you were talking about that can swap ships? I can't find it on this site.

I am trying to make a mod for the FL engine to take you back to the good ole coalition, on a retaliation attack!
I am working on the story at the moment and planning ship types.
