No throttle control

Ok, now that I disabled EAX I am able to play, but my throttle controls do not work.

If I use the "Z" key to match target speed, it seems to work. By having no target and pressing "Z" I seem to get full throttle, though sometimes I get zero throttle instead.

Once I kill a target I seem to go to full throttle - which is a real killer in a mine field, hehe.

But, the "-" , "=" , "backspace" , and "" keys have no effect on ship speed. I tried reassigning those functions to different keys, but no joy.

I am using a Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D joystick, and it does have a throttle lever, but that doesnt function either.

Thanks,
Drew

It´s just a walkaround, but why don´t you try to configure your stick as a standar one? (ie, 2 axis, 6 buttons, POV, rudder...) Mine isn´t suported by XP and configuring it as a standar make it work perfectly. If your problem are still then i don´t know.

HELL NO !!!

I have been trawling the net all night trying to find out the same question to no avail.
Unless experienced u have no idea how annoying it is.
You edit the accelerate key to say " up arrow " then when using the up arrow....................nothing.
It doesn't seem to matter which key u choose , it just wont accept it during flight.

Judging by the dates of these posts and the regularity in which posts r added i guess i'll check back in about 6 months to c if anyone's replied lol.

Use buttons ~ to 0 to set throttle. - and + also works fine.

excellent,thank you, i'll try that.

BTW i now at least have some control over the speed.
New joystick you see and it appears the " Slide " ( whatever the hell one of those is lol ) takes FULL control over the throttle disabling ALL other inputs, Though i shall attempt your method.

Thanks again.
