another alliance fighter?

OOkay, so I was buzzing around the other day, and noticed someting a little bit peculiar. THis happened during the mission where the Vampires and the Bremen get taken out:

While shooting at the cruiser's shields and engines, I couldn't help but notice the Ronin using a at least 1 of a type of fighter I had not seen before:

It had a central cockpit resembling that of a shroud, with two short wings on either side, a short fin on top, and a longer fin underneath. There were 4 missiles mounted on this lower fin, 2 on one side, 2 on the other. The first thing it reminded me of when I saw it was a B-Wing from Star wars, but with the cockpit right in the wing intersection.

The same ship appeared again during the cutscene when the Yamato jumps to Your location near the Bremen. It was in formation with several of the squadron's usual Naginatas, leading me to believe that this was the ship Ronin Leader was using, but I never got it selected to find out.

Anyone know what this mystery ship's name is? Anyone seen it before?

It's The Sai.

It's a crappy ship IMO. You can see its stats in SLEdit if you want to.

its called the 'sai' some kinda squadron i think - i think u can find it in the cap-ships section or the fighters in the ITAC terminal - if not, i think its some kinda light cap-ship, similar to the lonestar, the one escorting the ANS Victorious that u see when cap. foster commits suicide.

The Sai is not in ITAC. And that small capship is actually an escort gunship: the Prowler.

So it's like the Loki then...occasionally showing up but never given any credit for being there. Really bad when ITAC doesn't have the specs on one of your own side's ships.

Sai is an AI only fighter. You can swap it like any other ship with sledit 2.16 (get 2.0 right there, then the up to 2.16). But be warned this thing flies like ****, near impossible to control.
