Multiplayer problems

OK, my friend and I were trying to play some Starlancer last night. I was set up to host, he could see my game but couldn't join. I have a D-link router that is sometimes referred to a NAT router. I've heard NAT routers can be problems when trying to host certain types of games.

My system was set up as the DMZ computer, I even forwarded ports 1-65000 to my address. Currently running WinXP, service pack 1.

Anyway, I host other games all the time, so I wonder if Starlancer requires a specific tweak. Any help would be appreciated. I can offer more system specs if need be. Thanks.

best i ever found to play sl online was to go through msn gaming zone, you can still find some players there nowadays (although the scene is pretty dead)
