I have just completed Starlancer flying nothing but a Crusader. OK, I had to do a little modding (adding a cloaking system and replacing the Shroud at one point) but I didn't change the ship in any of it's fundamental areas (speed, guns, armour, shield etc).

I feel a perverse pride in my achievement . . .

Ban REVERSE THRUST! Fly something other than a phoenix for a change!

). Anyway, I never even thought of trying to do that. Let me guess, the cloaking stuff was applied in the last mission?

Stiener, alas, didn't survive. The Crusader is a good ship in many respects but swift it ain't! Even on full burners I couldn't get there in time.
And you're right, I did add the cloak for the last mission. Actually, on the mission where you rescue Stiener from the prison ship, it's much easier to do if you replace the Shroud with the Crusader (you need the cloak and the Shroud is the only ship available in that mission of course) because the Crusader packs much more firepower than the Shroud.

I may try it again flying just a Predator. What do you think my chances are?
