Stuck Afterburner?

I recently installed StarLancer on XP and more times then not when I start a mission my afterburner is stuck on and won't turn off even with the toggle. Anyone noticed this problem before or know any fixes?

I had this problem too, but I never managed to fix it.

try to push the button for switching the afterburner.
