whatch movies w/o playing the mission?

Hi,

I tried the very last mission about 20 times and always died of another stupid reason. If I didn't, I was simply killed within seconds after or before I killed Petronov. There is absolutely nothing I can do against it, I am under constant fire and shields are down withing 1 or 2 seconds, no matter how much I try to evade fire. Well, I surely will not try this mission again, that's of no use. But I would like to know how the story ends. Is there a way to extract the movies from the CD, somehow? Well, I don't know how to play movies without doing the missions, and I don't remember the ending, but if you're ever in a bind like that where you're under heavy fire, put full power to shields and hit the afterburners. If that doesn't work, I dunno what will.

the Shroud is a good ship for that...you cloak, they stop shooting at you.

The movies are .bik files integrated into the .hog file. all you need is a hog extractor (found in downloads section) and a bink player (can be downloaded for free on the net - just google it). It's worth doing, since this ghives you a possibility to wathc the movies that can't be seen during the game. As for finishing the last mission, it's possible with the Shroud (some people said they were able to do it on other fighters, but I'm not that good, so I prefer cloaking).

Light is faster than sound. It is for this reason that some people seem bright until you hear them talk.
