The ****** mouse doesn''t work properly

After upgrading my comp from 98 to XP the mouse didn't move properly. It sort of pauses for a moment before it moves.

Try turning off any extra softwares controlling your mouse. For example, after buying an optical mouse and installing its accompanying software called Browser Mouse (adds extra functions to my buttons and wheel), the mouse was laggy as hell in my Rainbox Six game. I turned the software off, and it was fine. After playing I simply turn it on again.

It might be because of your processor speed. If you're running a slow comp it might not be able to handle the requirements of XP.

Make sure you have AT LEAST 256 or ram. 512 would be way better.
