Starlancer problems

I bought starlancer after freelancer, and it seemed to install properly.

But when i try to play the game, i get the initial title screen ("Starlancer" with a pic of the yamato), and nothing else.

I have tried it on both full and typical install. I have Windows XP home, and a 128 MB Radeon 8500LE Video card.

Does anyone know how i can fix this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Let me get this straight: you pop the SL cd in, and the picture of Yamato appears? sounds like the Launcher screen. You mean there are no buttons there to click?

This sounds like the same thing that was heppening to me....read the thread "Technical help....Please" just a few spots down from this thread. The Safedisc protection on the CD was causing the same thing to happen when I tried to run SL. I followed one of the posters advice and applied a "no-cd" patch and now SL works great.

Mine works just fine with XP home, Pent4, and GeForce2...

But I did have that problem for a short time...eventually it just seemed to go away on its own. :/
