Next Version of the game

Was wondering if anybody has heard when or if there is going to be a sequel to freelancer.

Post Mon Dec 11, 2006 2:11 pm

Posted in wrong forum, but no, doesn't look like theirs going to be, unless my story and mod gets started and finished, the only way it will seem to happen is via mod, and its likely not to be single player.

there is going to be NO sequel to freelancer, only way we are going to do this is modding and hope that OpenLancer gets the go ahead.

Openlancer can't be "Abandon ware" if it hasn't been created yet.

Blackhole has undertaken a monumental task of creating the "next generation" freelancer type game. A lot of this coding is being done by him and as well being a learning process for him.
My hat is off in respect to him.
I personally cannot expect Blackhole to produce a miracle any time soon, but I feel certain that given enough time and support, he will come up with it.
I have confidence in Blackhole for his project and wish him the best of luck.

I must admit that the project itself has taken on a mind of its own. I personally am not doing a large amount of coding, i usually hover around the forums, providing insight and fixing any major bugs. The project itself is being driven by its own special community and is well on its way to being successful. I merely planted the seed and watered it, now it is a tree that is feeding itself.

My hat goes off to the wonderful openlancer community and their inexaustible efforts at creating the openlancer dream.
