Need new factions tutorial.. plz!!

I have read the making factions tutorial, but its all over the place, and I'm having trouble. Can anyone just tell me what to do, and where to edit, in a simple, straight-forward way - with legible grammar?

Also, perhaps this post would have been better in the factions tutorial thread rather than starting a new one

I would just like to state my agreement with archangel.

im realtivly new at modding, only haveing played with putting in new ships and / some xml editing.

and i am finding there is a lot of assumed knowege in both of the faction tutroials that i have found.

I read one and couldent make head no tail of it and the other one im in the process of attempting to follow but to me a lot of things just dont make sence and i dought its going to work one iv finnished.

i really would aprecate it if someone would make one that is amimed at beginers, or the tutorials for other things i have read i have never had a problem with but this particular topic i am really struggaling with.

Since you're a beginner, have you tried making systems yet? Try using FL Explorer to create them, so you get 'a good feel' ^_^.
