Chips, Im having a sorta the same prob. On the new Epsilon systems it has random crashes which work fine on SP but not on MP. This is really weird lol

Any ideas?

Mmmh everytime I try changing space color, the game crashes on me when I test the system.

Why is it when I setup a Mod of my own it crashes every time I try to load into my savegames it crashes to the desktop.

Are you sure the savegames are still possible? (ie: in the save game, you are flying a dagger, but you just deleted the dagger in shiparch.ini)

Now on to my problem.
Everytime I undock from ANY base, the game crashes to desktop. Any reasons why?

ok i have a problem, ive been redoing NY and i have moved Westpoint just a bit across, the exact position as one of the tradelane rings(i have removed all the tradelanes ). so i travel to westpoint when i goto dock there is no little man that says eg"roger that your reqeust to dock is granted, please proceed to dock2". and when i start going to dock the doors dont open, and im left there trying to barge through the doors

Problem - crash to desktop when undocking from base.
I create a new system, add a sun and four planets with bases on them, and a jumpgate linking the system. No tradelanes, no commodoties, ships etc, only the objects i have mentioned. I test each item as i place it and they all work fine. What i dont understand is that i can undock from these bases with no problem many times, then another time i CTD when undocking from the same base. The server console shows no errors. I've read many of these tutorials and posts and can find no answer to my problem. What am i doing wrong here?
Maybe i just need to leave this modding to the pro's.

1. How do you backup mods? (Whenever I do the original gets corrupted!)

Whenever i try to add a jumphole into a new system, FLE Crashes!!! Everytime it happens!!! What do i do?

lol Chips u ever seen that ur flyallships dont work?

i came ere for answers but there aint anythin on crash to desktop before the game has even loaded,

Chips, this crash answers is pretty good, ands its helped me out a few times, but now i am just stumped.

I added a new ship to my orginal mod, that worked well (open SP, new systems, battleships flyable, new weapons and factions), anyway, now i can't even load up the main menu. Is it possible that in the shiparch files, i messed around with one of the ships there and it won't show up on background of the main menu? I ran FLIA and nothing eventful has came up. Can you tell me what other files are need for the main menu, as i believe that its not the actual ship thats the problem, seen as that is not used till you start a new game.

Gah, I find that doing bases by coding them is a lot less buggy than using FLE to do it, everytime I use FLE I have no NPCs there, and either a crash on exit or something, and the commodities and equipment etc I put in there are never there, much more hassle free doing it via ini coding. The tutorials are there for it.

ive made a station in the Ew05 bit now i go in there and there is no station and this is the bit wat i dont get i put it like this in univerce ini
