Discovery Mod v4.77
This is, basically, the mod that doesn't make Freelancer different but makes it better. No star wars or B5 ships, no weird factions, no superpower weapons, no 1000 cruise speed etc. Original Freelancer atmosphere and gameplay was left intact, but as you progress through the game there are lots of new possibilities. Discovery was created specially for multiplayer, but 4.77 is 100% singleplayer compatible.

The mod includes 37 new flyable ships, including CSV, Juni's Defender, Blood Dragon, transports, trains, liners, gunboats, cruisers, destroyers, battleships and advanced versions of House fighters. Players who prefer top-level heavy fighters will have a choice of 8 ships instead of 3 (Titan, Eagle and Sabre), and those who wish something larger may save some more money and buy a capital ship. Capital ships are handled easier than in most other mods and can be docked everywhere; they all have shields and most even have thrusters (though thrusters are slower than normal). All new ships have correct & complete infocards. Other enhancements and additions of Discovery include increased sight range, increased mission rewards, battleship encounters, NPCs using shield batteries and nanobots, new equipment (mostly weapons) and commodities, opened singleplayer jumpgates and jumpholes, and more.

First version of this mod was released back in July, but this is the first time I announce it on TLR forums. Hoping for some feedback and suggestions for future versions of Discovery, and maybe even assistance... we need experienced modders who can create high-quality systems, and may help with setting up missions and encounters.
