System Re-Name MOD Version 1.0

Hi. It's me. I am making my first mod!!!

It is a simple System-Rename mod, I will change:

New York: Liberty System

New London: Brentonia System

New Tokyo: Kusari System

New Berlin: Rheinalnd System

Omicron Alpha: North Hispania System

Omicron Gamma: South Hispania System

I will also change the cap. planets to their house name (i.e. Manhattan = Planet Liberty)

I will also add cap ship encounters (if I can), and RE-name certain ships to their status name (i.e. Starflier -> Civ Light Fighter Mk. I)

I will add more and fix any bugs in version 1.2

how about renaming leeds to bretonia02? or pittsburg to liberty system planet02?

Nothin really. I just wanted to make Freelancer a bit more realistic when it comes to names. (And the planet thing, I might put that in Freelancer Re-Name MOD v1.2. It sounds like a good idea.)

Since when is their a city called Omicron Alpha? Why did they call the The Oucast homeworld "Malta" instead of New Spain? I don't know. Remember, this is Freelancer, not reality. And if your going to get all capital, New York is not the capital of the United States, Washington D.C. is. AND if you want to talk about the "New" before each colony name, woudn't it be "New New York", because if you read history books, would would know that names such as "New Jersey" mean they were named after a province in a nother country or a king/queen.

SOooo, In Freelancer, "New York" would be preferring to a second "York", the place in England. Sooo, it should have been: New New York. But that would make no sense. And now I have no clue what I'm talking about so I'm gonna stop typing on this subject.

Well, if I may butt in... I vote for renaming the Liberty capital "Smith" and the Bretonian capital "Victoria"... which if you know your history would be perfectly-fitting names...

Of course, that'd probably confuse about 99% of players, but hey, I'd be happy

Anyhow... I must confess to also not getting the whole re-naming thing... but if you're building towards something cool that makes use of the names in a clever way, I'm sure we'll get it eventually

I'm really not aiming twoards something cool. I am new at modding and figured I should do something. Not just stare at li01.ini aimlessly all effing day.

SO I decided to change some of the names NOTE, This MOD DOES remove the story line AND hopefullly will add Battleship encounters. I will also change background music. (I figures changing names would be boring as heck. It's WAAY to easy.)
