I would like to add some feedback:
WHAT IS THAT CRAP?

i loaded it once, worked fine, couldnt find a server tho...

so i made some changes to the opensp to start me in the br07 base 2 (theres no base 1?)

deloaded it and reloaded it... CRASH, wouldnt open properly even once

wha happend?

from the log it seems there was an error in copying the exe (why would you include that?)

Hey, it's np... FLMM has its hazards, and my mod is no exception But by all means, feel free to poke at bugs... although from the way things are going on the technical end, Beta 1 might as well be an entirely new game.

And Louva, I may just take you up on that... after I get the Beta done. Which I'm hoping to have happen before New Years, if I'm lucky But now that most of the new weapons are in and are stable, it's just a matter of a lot've grind and polish.

ok, then i got a bug for you: when arriving at a mission, the enemy seems to be over 4000k away... what is le happenin?

i cant purchase new ships, and, erh, and, uh, yeah i dont fall into the sea whith killengine

oh, of course, everythings empty (it seems everybody is 4000k away)

and you might need to add LODranges = x(more seperated by , if you have several lods. where x is a value in m's) to all your new entries in solararch and shiparch, determines the distance stuff can be seen at

Well, if you read the release notes, I specifically said that Alpha wasn't compatible with SP- the reasons for this are long and complicated, and probably won't ever get fixed, unfortunately- I really, really tried, but never did get them working right. So think of SP as a "sandbox mode" where you can practice flying, buy the ships and test them, etc., but can't do Missions (for that matter, you'll never see any bad guys spawn, either).

To do Missions, you need to start a MP server on your computer through FLMM, and then you can do missions in MP, where they work just fine. Your computer will have to work a little harder, but it's not that great a strain (unless you're Outcast, who's still using Win98 with less than 128MB of RAM)...

Getting closer now... just a few <ahem> bugs to squish, one more custom weapon to implement, and a lot've work getting assets skinned. Check out some of the new things you'll be able to drive in Beta One:

Hmm... monkeys might be cool (in a ridiculous, relief-from-insomnia sort've way)... I'd have to do that as a custom weapon projectile model though (which I have figured out how to do recently).

Probably no monkeys in Beta, but cannons... yes! But I'll think about monkeys after Beta 1... and the mecha... and whatever else distracts me

I'm currently implementing the drivables... some of Necro_Lord's stuff is now skinned and working (including an ultra-pretty aircraft called the Raven which will get featured in the next series of promo screenies)... and Fallen_Angel has done an incredible job delivering models for the mod- most of the models you're looking at up above are his work (my skins, of course).

And I have put another custom weapon in... this is the 100mm. Heavy Cannon... which is meant for Warships and the heavier Hovertanks. Been playing around a lot with FX and stuff, and it looks and sounds very cool imho...

hehehehe, kina funny im helping with this mod, and forgot this post was even here... =/ didnt realize the amount of work youve been doing argh, this sounds like its going to be really cool, and its really exciting to see some of my stuff of LR, with your skins of course =P i still need to find a tutorial i understand, and for out the $20 for MS3D....

Hehe... there were reasons why the space between Alpha 4 and Beta 1 has been so long... tons of development work has gone into the next version, as well as lots of work making new aircraft and ships. I think people are really going to like the next version of the game

What about a sword? Can I mount a sword to my pirate ship and when you fire it says "ARRRRRRRRRRRR"?

hehehe could be fun to have a few fun little easter eggs, but the primary concern is to just get the mod itself working well and getting the beta out, once that happens, and Argh has a chance to breath, maybe we can add a few fun things like that for people to discover...
