Future of Excelcia
Ahoy everyone!
The offitial Excelcia server shuts down today after one and a half years of roleplay, modding, awesome stories, high and low times. I want to keep this short, i could write a book about the server, the people and the book if i had the time.
All in all, the offitial server is off, forums are still up.
There are several new projects that have their origins on the excelcia server.
One of them is the antares mod, another the acadia mod and i will start a new rpg mod from scratch. we are still very busy with talks about eventually uniting the 3 projects, i will let you know once we fall decisions.
a bit info to you out here who didnt know the excelcia mod and server/community:
- it was started ~1.5 years ago by Reven (cmp importer), )v(aster and Klngarthur (forum admin).
The server became popular quickly, had a basic mod and a lot of roleplay going on.
- ~ a year ago i took over the whole modding and admin business and started working with a team on the mod.
- the latest version, 2.2 became a pretty impressive piece of work. click the link in my sig, goto announcements and the manual, then u get an idea what scale the mod had. there are not many modding areas that were not touched.
anyway, i am looking forward instead of back and i am putting together a modding team. any help is of course welcome. you should have a bit experiance but we are aking basically everyone who is dedicated to a task
Here is a link to a short description of what we gonna do.
The team that we have so far has a couple of very experianced modders. It would be also great to see some of the old vet modders again who had their hands on the mod in one or another way. (Hobbes? Wasabe? Duriel? Kendo?)

I decided to make the excelcia mod completely public. I will put together a final, 2.3 version, write a detailed descripion about its concepts and upload it to TLR.
Its a sad day today, a big part of Freelancer RPG ends today.
It has been awesome 1.5 years. We hope to carry on the modding and gaming with the new team(s).
