Freelancer Revised Beta Version

I couldnt think of any fancy, impressive name for my first mod so I'm just calling it Freelancer Revised for now. I'd like to put it out here so maybe some folks can help me test it out and see if there needs to be any tweaks (particularly to npc strength).

At the moment this mod doesnt include any new systems or ships, but I will probably be looking into adding those for the next version. I've seen some great ships on this site and will try to track down some of the shipmakers and get permission to use them. I forgot to include a read me file in the download so I'll post the read me info below. Here's the link to download my mod:

Freelancer Revised Beta Version

Features:
- Removed storyline missions
- Players start with usual hostilities towards unlawfuls, and neutral to all others (i.e. you are not friendly towards Liberty Navy or LSF now)
- Changed Trent's outfit to Orillion's uniform
- All jumpgates are unlocked
- All systems are mapped from start so you dont have to visit each location
- All commodity buy/sell rates are shown from start at every base
- Cruise speed has been increased to 990
- All trade lanes have been removed
- Cruise engines engage faster or slower, dependent on ship class
- Level requirement to purchase ships and weapons have been removed
- Civilian ships (Starflier, Startracker, Hawk, Falcon, Eagle) are now available in each sector - Liberty, Bretonia, Kusari, and Rheinland
- Most ships have had their stats and prices adjusted, and selling locations have been moved around
- Ships and weapons are now generally only available from the faction who makes them (i.e. Liberty vessels can only be purchased from Liberty Navy or Liberty Police bases, Bounty Hunter ships and weapons can only be purchased at Bounty Hunter bases, etc)
- You must be on friendly terms to purchase ships from most factions, except civilian dealers or freighters (weapons do not require good rep)
- Powerplants and scanners have been added as required equipment
- Tractor beam has been added as optional equipment
- Each faction now uses a specific shield type on their own ships(gravitron, positron, molecular). However, be aware that some factions use ships from multiple sources
- Npc shields regenerate moderately
- Military fighters have been balanced between the four Houses. Liberty no longer has puny ships compared to everyone else
- The 07L "Anubis" Liberty Advanced Heavy Fighter is now, rightfully, part of the Liberty fleet (read it's info card for more information)
- a few other surprises that I'll let you discover

Just download the zip file and extract it into your FLMM mod folder and activate. Enjoy!

Oh, and when I say friendly terms to purchase ships - that means green rep, not just neutral. You gotta earn them wings, baby!

Nice im gonna check it out is it for SP only or maybe u gonna Host MP server too?

Hm, that's odd. Link should work now, if it doesnt I'll see if I can get it uploaded here in the downloads section.

For now this is just SP. I'm not even sure what I'd have to do to it to make it MP.

I've updated the version at the above link with some recent changes I made.

Added:
- Nine levels of armor upgrades: Blowout Panels, Hull Reinforcement Panels, Titanium Wash, Nanoweavers, High Temp Alloy Protective Armor, Super Alloy Protective Armor, "Durmal" Armor, Rheinland Combat Armor, and Kusari Guard Armor.

They're expensive, but worth it. Can only be found at shipyards.

I've uploaded a new version (same link in original post) to correct a couple settings that were not supposed to be in the live version. 07L Anubis had no faction requirement because I was using it to fly around during testing. It now requires faction like all other military vessels.

Also, I incorrectly stated cruise speed was set at 990. This was also only for testing purposes. Cruise speed is actually 800.

I'll add a reply to this thread any time I change the current download so you can get the latest changes.

Well, I'm not too sure how to write the xml scripts. Also, the amount of changes I've made to this point it'd be a ***** to try to write a script now. This works in FLMM though. All you have to do is extract the zip file and make a folder in your FLMM/mods directory called 'FLRevised' and put the contents of this zip file into that folder. FLMM will activate and deactivate it just fine, but it probably wont be compatible with any other mods.

UPDATE: Rsdnt-evle gave me permission to use his Komodo Dragon model so the link now has an updated version. I renamed the ship to the Imperial Dragon, and it is Kusari's very heavy fighter. It can be purchased on Honshu, but as with other military vessels, you must be on friendly terms with the faction.

I'm still trying to attain permission to use the Camara Freighter model and a few others, so look for more updates soon.

UPDATE
Universal Shipping has commissioned a new ship, the Scarab High Speed Transport, using engine technology reverse-engineered by Sinai Industries from recovered Nomad wreckage. The new ship is classified as a freighter, but has incredible speed and manueverability. It is heavily armored, but only carries light weaponry and has slightly less cargo capacity than a typical freighter. Universal feels this ship provides the desired platform for shipments that must be moved quickly. The Scarab is currently only sold on Planet Manhattan.

- Thanks to 9 of Nine, Major A Payne, and Wrath of Achilles for their ship model (which you'll probably recognize). I hadnt intended to use models from other sources, but this model was good enough to make an exception.

I love the Scarab High Speed Transport, its a great ship. fast, Manuverable, and well armoured, but why only two guns. I'd say if this ship had more guns it would be very popular indeed.
