To Argh: For the meantime the FS2 mod is focused on eras 1 and 3 so of course Invid are included (in fact I got a loose confirmation of an Invid Hive that will be explorable from a fellow RT fan and HW2 modder (Accused Raptor), he also made our red scout and modified the Invid Gurab into a shock trooper with 2 poses, and will be making the Royal Command Invids as well as the SDF-3).

Later on ground action WILL be possible thanx to many new projects pushing the source code to the limits. Already RT part II has benefitted from the change model command so now we have transformations through all three modes (but this is purely cosmetic for gameplay, but still enjoyable). Plus we do not have the proper models or time to make 2nd era content at the moment.
To Ancient Angel: Though your models are ecellent we are having huge problems converting most of the cap ships... I've noticed you bounce from game to game trying to get a RT mod finished but consider this. Models would be quicker to impliment if they are designed around the limitations of the engine (or just one at first). IF you want to help us get them in quicker please get a hold of me! My expert modler ,(Trashman), is overwhelmed with his own campaign as well as mods for several game platforms and I've asked more then enough from him. My two new modlers are too inexperienced to figure out what's wrong with their efforts and they have been plugging away at your models for a few months now... Not saying it isn't gonna happen, it will, but it would be a lot easier if the creator was involved.
BTW the Horizonts are 75% converted, the other REF cap ships are being, difficult.
Regardless the mod is 20% done as models are the BIGGEST hurdel (we have detailed ship lists posted of models still needed). I have created or altered new ballistic weapon effects like Gu-13 gunpods for the Alphas that fire bullets you run out of and other surprises.
So as you see much progress has been done as this mod HAS been rolling (true it's for FS2 but I was ansering a question). As for Freelancer ALL content used in FS2 mod is useable as per agreement at the beginnng of the mod as anyone working for it will support wholeheartedly ANY robotech project no matter what platform.
Anime has always have had the smallest game/modding resources and spotlight and so we all need to stick together!
Ask me about Star Blazers or Harlock! I'm creating a ton of weapons that emulate the shows as well as star Atra-Hasis's 6k Yamato (still to be converted)!

I just thought of something for Freelancer. Would planetary envoriments (atmosphere) levels be possible with the game as is? Instead of just watching the cutscene where you escape to orbit why not fight your way to orbit? That's what happened with FS2 and now all sorts of gound senarios can be tried (or even entirely underground like decent). Now only to figure out the water and naval vessel stuff...
