Starting faction/ship modpack for MP

I'll be going to work on an update to my Freelancer Starting Mod Pack during spring break. For those who don't know what it's about, here's a quick description:



These Multiplayer Mods will change the starting ship, faction, and position for newly created characters. Tired of starting out as Liberty Navy? Then this mod pack is for you! These mods are designed to change the monotony of starting out the same way. You can choose to start as any of the more common factions. Police or Criminal, Trader or Raider. Great for clan servers too, that wish to specialize as a particular faction. Current factions included are:
Liberty Police
Bretonia Police
Kusari Police
Rheinland Police
Outcasts
Corsairs
Liberty Rogues
Lane Hackers (two versions)
Xenos
Mollys
Bounty hunters
Zoners

Also thrown in is the Juni defender and the Order faction, starting out with the Anubis fighter.



I'd like to know what factions I should add to the next update. If there's enough interest, I'll try making a mod for every faction.

That sounds like an excellent idea. I think that beibg able to start with any faction and in any system you want would make MP a whole lot more enjoyable.
It sucks to have start in the same old NY system with the Starflier or Patriot

I take it that its the server admin that starts you in other places, not the player can choose where to start?

The host has full control, yes. I do take requests for players who wish to be a particular faction, but with my busy schedule, I normally pick a faction and leave it up all day.

I'll be making an update this weekend for my mod. I'm trying to include the more relevant (and playable) factions into the mod, so I'll be leaving out the trader factions with the exception of the zoners. If all goes well, I should be uploading it this weekend, or sometime next week. Classes are keeping me busy, so it's a little tentative at the moment.

Also, if anyone has any server side goodies to contribute to my mod, I'll gladly incorporate them into my mod and give full credit, providing they're ship or faction related. Missing from my mod pack is custom admin ships with their own flashy lights.
