Very Heavy Fighters

I'm currently working on a ship pack which will add 4 new very heavy fighters. These ships will have lots of weapons, infinate firing power, 2 shields, 2 or more thrusters etc. I'd like to get other opinions on what the stats should be like on these ships, so I get a general idea of what you people would like.

i'm not trying to be sarcastic, but why in the world would you want to give a ship unlimited firing power? It would seem to be too much of a cheat to me...anyway, good luck on the ships...

The thing to bear in mind is that uber ships are fun perhaps for a bit, but when you can dispatch your enemies in the blink of an eye it loses all the edge-of-seat feeling Freelancer is so known for

that's my point exactly

I would have to agree.
While infinite firing may SEEM pretty attractive at first, I think you'll find that after a few days or weeks of owning everyone without even breaking a sweat, you'll get bored.
But if you drastically decrease these VHFs' manueverablity (worse than a freighter's), perhaps things would be a little more even...

yeah, i did make slipstream uber then... and things get tooo easy to me so i balanced the ship so as not to be tooooo powerful in my latter ship packs....

balancing has two ways... one is to adjust the ship's stats and the other one is make the enemy nearly unbeatable......

Ok then, thanks for the heads up guys. I didn't know weather or not I was going too far, so I'm glad I asked.
