NPC Wingman

Is there a mod that allows the hiring of NPC wingmen? If not someone who likes to mod should try it. If there are missions with wingmen surely it can work in a mod.

Also, another post suggested taking over bases this is an intruiging idea but tricky in practice I would guess. Has it been tried in a mod yet? How would it work? Would the base be renamed. Would you have to hire squadrons of NPC's to guard it?

both your ideas are beyond the game engine, they are not possible, unfortunately

Well - the second could be possible in 'role play' updates to the mod, but realisitly it isn't possible, as everyone would have to dl the updates before connecting and you would need admin/modders who would work nearly non-stop for you. Otherwise in a roleplay way you could 'invade' systems, and everything could be changed to the 'invading' faction
