Weapon Ideas

I'm starting to run out of ideas for weapon mods, so could anyone post any ideas for weapons here?

One little side note: I don't make uber weapons, just stuff that has a real use and is probably feasible

How about a series of super-agile low-power homing missiles? They would have a speed of like 200 and agility of about 16 (compared with 100 and 4.58 for the default Stalker series), but only deliver half the damage of Stalker series missiles. This would make it easier to hit an agile target (or even shoot one who has cruise engines engaged), but the low damage means that you have to use several to kill anything.

hmm, gotta think about that one - cuz i still can't figure out how to get them to fire like guns using right-click... so it wouldn't be that good - for instance, with my cluster missiles, you have to hold q to get it to fire a continuous stream, otherwise, you have to keep clicking

Unfortunately, I'm gonna be a bit busy - I'm now helping JoeBoomz and crew on their IONCROSS mod, but once I'm done, I'll go back to normal weapon modding...

I was wondering, I don't know if this is the appropriate place to post this, but is it possible to create ship class specific weapons.

So for example, you could have a light fighter ion array weapon, then step it up gradually until you get to battleship size, and instead of having a little pow-pew ion blaster, you have a full blown, light fighter sized Ion turret like the HW2 battlecruiser has?

The problem with this of course is, that there really is no point making new weapons that ARENT uber. Because there are already loads of weapons that aren't uber.

But anyway here is my 2 cents:

Skirmish
Level 1 laser gun
Hull damage per shot: 45.
Shield damage per shot: 30.
Refire rate: 10.50.
Energy drain per shot: 1.
Plasma Based.

Hullshaker
Level 6 laser gun
Hull damage per shot: 165.
Shield damage per shot: 3.
Refire rate: 8.35.
Energy drain per shot: 50.
Tachyon Based.

Bunkers Revenge
Missile.
Hull damage per shot: 0.
Shield damage per shot: 5000.
Antishield ordinance.

Bunkers Revenge Turret
Level 8 turret.
Hull damage per shot: 0.
Shield damage per shot: 5000
Refire rate: 1.0
Energy drain per shot: 500
Plasma Based.

There, might have a few "areas" wrong on that, I don't really pay much attention to the weapons in freelancer, I just buy the one with the most damage for either shield or hull.

These should add some weapons to a couple of gaping holes in freelancers weapon market: Weapons that kill hulls quickly, missiles that kill all shields, and turrets that kill shields in one shot.

How about a very fast pulse gun that shoots pulse out very fast but the pulse travels very slowly.

how about a tractor beam weapon so they cant run away or some thing that steals cargo out of there cargo bay but would like to see all missles n torps go faster so there harder to out run to make it more real or a weapon that desables the ship for a few sec like a power surge or some thing i can go on for ever with the way the game should be to the way equepment/shields/engines/hull/other ships n so on played all the space games out there the one i liked the most was earth n beyound so far except no pvp so the game gets perditable liked how the did lvl n upgrade stuff n so forth but if you want a list of what i can come up with email me n ill send you lots of ideas for every thing i have
