Holodeck type mod

Hello-

Just curious if anyone knows if there has been a holo-deck type fighting mod out there? Maybe something were two players (or more) could 'dock' select a ship/opponent equip the ship, then begin battle.

This would allow you to fight friends for bragging rights, equip the ships, and see who's really the elite pilot.

Also you wouldn't have to sell any of your current weapons, or give them up. IE, If one guy has 4 Nomad Cannons, the other guy has 3, you don't want to give up one just for a fun fight....

Lastly, if this mod has not been done, does anyone know how hard it would be to attempt? Any insight would be appreciated.

It would be far easier to host just a modded server

only one area, say the inside of the dyson sphere (you can run, but not far), with all unmodded ship types and weapons available (though would limit class 10 weapons).

Would give the chance to see who is the better pilot. Can a drake take out a titan/eagle/sabre?

Would also allow for group combats...

hmm..wonder if you could "fix" ships into the wall of the sphere to allow spectators watch the grudge match through turret view??

hehehe...i started scribbling out the idea myself last night after i replied, wont have time to work on it b4 the weekend though....but, could be interesting....
