TIE universe hull problem (I think)

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.

I'm using TIE unverse 2.1 in single playerr. So far very fun, very well done mod. I'm going through the story and have hit a little 'snag' I think. Here's the story;

Just before the mission where we escort Quintain to the tau systems and encounter the large Rhienland fleet along the way, I dicided it would be a good idea to upgrade my ship.

I had a tie interceptor which had a hull rating of around 5200-5800 if I'm not mistaken. I was in bretonia and noticing the newly available slave 1's hull rating of 12000, I knew it would be a good idea to take som missions and buy they ship.

After I had it, for some reason the fights weren't any easier. My hull degraded as quickly as before, even when fighting battles of the same size as when I had my interceptor.

Normally I wouldn't expect that much of a difference in ships, but with a hull rating nearly twice as strong as my previous ship, I'm wondering if something really is off here.

Any help appreciated.

have you tested it as a shot-by-shot thing or just overall battles? it could be reduced maneuverability is getting you hit more.

... not to mention the Firespray (Slave1) size. The ship is bigger and can be hit more easier.
