FL massive addon

hi
sorry if this is the wrong place to post this - i guess it's a bit of a newbie question but couldn't see where else to ask it. I'm just getting into modding FL, and have downloaded a bunch of them. I really want to get the Massive Addon to work, and when i run it in FLMM it says that it is running. But when I play FL I can't seem to see anything different - none of the new ships, stations or anything. Am I looking in completely the wrong places (ie: can you only get the ships from special stations), or is the mod not running at all? I'm playing it with a multiplayer character who I started before I modded the game - could that be why? I've seen people say you have to delete your savegames and reinstall FL before some mods will work but I really don't want to do that as my character is pretty advanced and I don't want to have to delete him and start again - is there no way of modding the server for an already existing character? do you need a new character for each mod you try? the improved thruster power mod that comes with the latest version of FLMM seems to work fine with my old character, is it a different thing with the mods that add new ships, stations, etc?
hope someone out there can help me - cheers.

it should be working , it is a addon so things are added on so you have to go find the new systems. Try running data storm while the mod is active to make sure.
Get data storm here

oh and flmm should move your saved characters to another folder, well at least mine does. It does that to prevent crashes while running a mod.

Ok, well are you talking about SP or LAN?

If your playing LAN and you change to a differnt mod and that char. was in the system from the other mod, your going to crash becuase the game cannot find that file, however if the system file is named the same thing as the other mod. (Like BR08.ini in this mod and the other mod has a system folder also named BR08.ini) You will show up in the other system in the spot that you were based from the other modded system. That is true for LAN, but SP I am not 100% sure.

Best thing to do is just to clear your files or if your so in love with your char, all ya need to do is to just move the savefiles onto your desktop, it isn't wise to use save game files from one mod and use them on a new mod. It causes to many bugs.

Opps' forgot to add, that also if the ship that your char is using is not in the new mod you add on, it will crash at start up also.
