So, if you post the IP Address I will give it a try...I refuse to use the "M$ Global Server", it takes forever for the list to be parsed and listed(They need to add more filter options and actually STORE the options you select).

Well the server is up and running, we had some guys in there shooting it up, making their fortunes.

The server appears to be very stable and running smoothly so far.

I played with another freelancer for about a half hour and it seemed to run very smoothly with just 3 of us on.

We'll see what happens as the numbers increase, but sofar with 3 people in there the server load never went up over 3 or 4 msec and is only using up about 33MB of its 512MB of ram so I think it should be good for at least 16-24 people.

Anyways, having fun as always is the main purpose so get in there, make your fortune and blast each other to pieces for loot.

This server encourages players to form groups and fight each other.

Ideally I would like to see at least 1 Escort type group, 1 Space Pirate group and 1 Space Trader type of group.

We are seeking players who want to fulfill those roles and protect their profits while trying to exploit others profits.

Each group needs the other to be successful.

Traders will pay Escorts with the money they make from selling their cargo, taking their own profit into account as well.

Pirates will try to loot the Traders while being fended off by Escorts.

Spying on each other to try to figure out the next likely trade lane to hack and catch them at is encouraged.

I cycled the server to see if that helps you out.

I also increased the number of players to 32 to see what would happen. Please report here if it gets laggy or anything once we get over 24. If it gets too bad I will set the number back to 24 which seemed OK.

ok the server was full on with 32 guys for a long time

can anyone report what performance was like at that point?

if it was good maybe I will pump the server up to 40.

I like this server, it's very smooth with little/no lag at all.

server is really starting to heat up a lot of high level guys on now trying to bling each other

server seemed to be having issues when going over 24 so I am going to have to keep it at a 24 max. I wish it would do more but the poor cable modem just cant handle any more than that!
