Error reporting, how to turn it OFF!!

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

Error reporting, how to turn it OFF!!

OK I know there at one time was instructions somewhere on here for this but I cant seem to find it now..

I run Adui's Place server. ITs 24/7 and mostly automated.

here's the problem: Occasionally when IFSO MK V.1 stops the server for maintenance windows does its thing and the FLserver exe crashes. This wouldnt be an issue since IFSO restarts the server automatically EXCEPT... Every time the thing crashes the stupid Microcrash error reporting system kicks in and asks if i want to send an error roeport.

Now here is what Ive done so fat:

1) Went into Control panel / system and turned off ALL error reporting. Voila!! right?? WRONG still does it!!

2) Turned it back on, and selected Freelancer and Frelancer server exe 's to be excluded from error reporting. Stikll does it..

3) Put it back to no error reporting at all, and rebooted the server completely.. Dont expect that to work but still waiting for the next crash.

So, Im running an older Athelon XP 2200 at 1.39GHZ it has 512MB of RAM and two hard drives, the OS is on a 7 gig drive and the rest of the stuff is on a 40 gig drive.

OS is Win XP Professiona SP 2 (all current updates installed)
Porgrams running are:
FLserver with FLShell installed
IFSO MK V.1
Tiny Upload (To upload FLStat info)
RealVNC remote desktop server

Runs smooth except for the ovccasional hiccup. Trouble is I leave it on auto and only check it two or three times a day unless I see an erro report in my forum. Soo, if this stupid error reporting thing takes me offline it can be HOURS before I hear about it and can fix it..

did you try deleting dw15.exe (MS error reporting agent) under your EXE directory as well?

It's not necessary (spelling?) to delete that file. There was a registry tweak to turn off the error reporting copmletely. Try google....
