Unable to create accounts on my server

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

Unable to create accounts on my server

OK, I have a steange problem. I can host a server and it runs fine. I can see it from other computers in the server browser and can join it.

The problem I have is it will not allow any accounts to be created and says that the name is already used. It does not matter what I use for a name. I uninstalled and reinstalled freelancer.

It will do this with no mod installed or any mod installed.

Has any one encountered this problem?

Please help.

I had one of them a while ago. It had a previous server's data in the
My Documents\My Games\Freelancer\Accts\MultiPlayer folder. Best thing you could do is delete all of that stuff and have another go. It should work ok.

I did that and the same thing. OH well, a respin of the server may be in order.
