FLhook

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

FLhook

I don't know how to add flhook to my server:

copy the files from "bin" to your freelancer/exe directory and edit the FLHook.ini
in order to suite your needs.
there are 3 different ways to start flhook:
1) execute FLHookStart.exe while flserver.exe is already running. this will
inject FLHook into the running process.
2) execute FLHookStart.exe with "execute ..." as command line. this will start
flserver.exe along with FLHook. the rest of the command line will be passed
on to the server. FLHook console will be shown as soon as the loading-process
has finished. THIS IS WHAT I DON'T GET!! <------ ITS WEIRD

3) copy flserver_patch.exe to freelancer/exe and execute. this will change the
flserver.exe so that FLHook starts automatically whenever you execute
flserver.exe.

Take your files that are in bin and copy then into the freelancer exe folder .The 3 ways you can start it you have . You cannot use 1.0 version flserver ,it said to change that and i did and i still keeps crashing when i start flhook.Wish i could be more help , still tring to fix my buggs..lol. Someone show us the light on this!!!

from what i know it does work in 1.0 (but i use a custom version of flhook so im not 100% sure)

but im sure that blaster did set up flhook on his server already ^^

okay cool, how do i set it up on a 1.0 version . went to that german web site and canot understand anything . German i mean .. lost and need help!! Please

FLHook does not run with unpatched FLServer.exe
You need the official 1.1 Microsoft Freelancer Patch, otherwise it will crash.
But maybe there is another problem because you said you already updated it to version 1.1

So did you try to do a fresh installation of freelancer, then patch it and then installing (copying) flhook?

nope have not installed any patch except the one that come with 1.3.5 flhook . I will locate it and try that . thank you for your help ..

I got everything work so far so good . But how do i set admins in the version FLHook 1.5.5 ??



This is what i have done to help other !!
okay when installing do fresh install of freelancer and then install the offical Microsoft patch 1.1 . Its on the freelancer pc game web page. next copy the files from bin into the EXE folder ,Then got to the FLHook.ini and adjust the port setting to what ever your port shows on the like mine is 64.92.161.82:2302.
I used port 2302 . But i also run a counter strike source sever.The three way you can start the program is in the read me text .By the way My server is version 1.0 and yes hook is working on it .Hope i help some one..

use the console, type this...

SetAdmin (playername) Superadmin(this is the rank of that admin)
