Problems opening a server.

Ok I want to open a test run for my mod on my own computer. it has 2.8 ghz, 1 gb ram, nice.
Anyway I got the Ioncross server program, I typed in the /P2302 comman line, turned off my norton fire wall and turned on the WinXP Fire wall and allowed ports 2302 in the fire file and allowed FL to run online.
Yet when my friend trys to connet to the server it says he cannnot connet , this is the same with everyone else who has tryed to join.
I would like to know if anyone knows what is going on so I can get this fixed and get an online test going soon.
I found the topic about how to start up a server and me and my friend went over it and did ever step but it doesn't work still.

Now could it be the computer I am trying to get to "act" as the server runs on wireless?
Would it be better to use a computer that doesn't use wireless or it doesn't matter?

Yea it would help becasue I am new at starting a server up. ^^

There is often a firewall in your gateway (some people call them routers, even wireless routers but they do more than just route!). If you have wireless you probably have a firewall built in. So you must follow my instructions here on how to open that tunnel or virtual server or whatever your gateway calls it in EVERY firewall. Today's ADSL and cable modems are even including hardware firewalls built in so you may have more firewalls in your LAN than you think.
