I''m so frustrated!

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

I''m so frustrated!

I have been trying for the past few days to uninstall Freelancer and reinstall it to get rid of the patch version of the server. Each time I uninstall and reinstall, I get the build with the patch installed, I can't get rid of it!
I tried following instructions for a clean removal, deleting the directory and such, but each time I reinstall it, the patch adds itself somehow, even though I do not have the patch file installed on the computer.
As a last result, after uninstalling Freelancer I have went through the registry getting rid off all the entries for Freelancer (made backup first, of course) but after restart and reinstall, it was still there.. so I've given up on trying to get the original server on my computer, unless anyone else has any suggestions..

Thanks!

it is possible you got a cd with the 1.1 patch already integrated.

It certainly does appear that way. When did you purchase the game?

Its pretty impossible for it to self install the patch etc - it must be included with your game. The patch literally just overwrites existing files with newer versions (from version 1.0.1223.11 to 1.0.1254.11

Easiest thing - check out the FLServer.exe version number - check that it is indeed that version number, which will indicate your game has the patch included.

isn't there a mod on here which reverses the patch effects? might be worth a looksie...
