Freelancer Server Data Transfer Rates

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

Freelancer Server Data Transfer Rates

Please could somebody tell me the amount of data transferred per hour/day/week/month whatever on a Freelancer server, as I am looking to set-up a new Freelancer server, but am on 15GB monthly data transfer limit... I doubt it will transfer that much information, but my dad has told me he doesn't want it running over 1GB traffic per month...

Does anybody know the figures?

If so please post them here...

Regards,

Dale

Most online games average about 5-7kB per player some nearer 10kB. So 1gig a month isn't feasible

I've been running a few small servers off and on for a while , I'm on a 5mb down 2mb up cable connection my current, server is 24/7 and i have about 20 players i am just doing approx 1 gb per month at this time , so if u arn't to heavily trafficked [ not to popular u should be ok, but like any thing else it depends a lot on use and logins, so if u have a steady flow of players 5-10 a day playing 2-3 hours each u are going to be border line
