Loss of unlocked jump gates

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

Loss of unlocked jump gates

I run a server with numerous server side tweaks one of which was unlocking all jump gates and jump holes. Somehow these gates have been locked again and I was wondering if anybody had any ideas of how to avoid starting from scratch again. Ioncross server operator doesn't appear to like me attempting to edit the feature back into characters.

If anyone has any ideas they would be very welcome

Earendill informed me of this some time ago.....so kudos to him over the info.

If you unlock the gates etc in the game, it will only work if you do a complete player wipe, due to the players save files telling the gates are really locked. Now, if you then import a save file or something else that has those gates locked.....it will then CHANGE all the save files and add that they are locked again (from what i understand) so it will then "Lock" all the gates once more - EVEN though the ini files says its unlocked. If you have made the server modded, but then used the old save games for characters, it has probabily done just this.
Alternatively, if you did it the other way round, this is probabily the problem as well

Yep, you're pretty much gonna have to wipe it clean unless you've got a backup of your server files from before the problem began.

And whatever you do, don't use the FLMM Drepanon Open Holes mod, it will say open for a while, then it will start changing files on its own.
