Get players IP?
Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

Is there a tool out there where you can get a players ip who is playing on your server? Or detect weather they are on a low connection or downloading ect?
Yes there is a tool to extract and identify IP addresses. We used that on the Elite server. But I'm not at liberty to give out that program, sorry. Contact akataka and ask him if he'll give one to you.

Wasn't that a addon for his FLbrowser? Seem to remember it had to be run with both utilities for it to work and was a system hog
ed: well looks like the password creation is still working, as I just got FLBrowser and FLConnectionmonitor working on my test server. Just need to get my host to install .Net on it and I can try it on my main server, only really need it for the connection monitor as as it stands its too slow compared to Joe's FLSO
but not as bad a sys hog as I thought just slow

Haha! I have been running AkaTaka's FLAcctBrowser and FLConnMon since I got both in his beta test! Excellent programs both. The beauty part of FLAcctBrowser is it records ALL characters ever run on the server. That's regardless if they were created one second and deleted the next. Very handy when tracking players using character names as abuse and thinking they get away with it through a delete! Plus FLConnMon links to the XML file FLAcctBrowser makes of all the characters so it lists the character name to IP address.
It is not slow at all for me. That is because FLAcctBrowser uses a decrypter on flserver.com so no CPU cycles are used. AkaTaka says flserver.com should be up for at least the year. Neither do I see any percent of my server CPU utilization being used for FLConnMon. As I've said before, excellent work AkaTaka!
EDIT: Didn't see Pinger's last post. There is some bandwidth usage for the flserver.com decrypting but it is minimal. Although I am at my bandwidth limit there never seems to be any indication in the game from the bandwidth it uses. I set mine to update automatically every 12 hrs so it's not a huge drain anyway.

If you are running FLserver through a half decent firewall or router then go in to the settings and click
LOG INCOMING TRAFFIC (ports 2300 - 2400 incomming)
you will find you have a complete list of IP's and depending in your firewall you may also have domains and geographical info.

Yeh thats what I ment, my router gives you the traffic in full as long as you click the log option.
but a lot of forewalls will do this aswell though. All player recoreds contain IP numbers on the mercenary navy server.
