Cryogenius! Here I thought Boston was a little fish in a big pond but under your server list I see it isn't so in terms of characters amounts! And this is after I purge the server every two days of characters that haven't logged on in the last 90 days or have logged on for less than a minute! Wahoo!

The average number of characters on a server is 590, so servers with more than 1,000 could be classes as big. At one point, FiiK server had over 7,000, but there's been some pruning since then...

Note: Only servers running FLstat version 1.2 are showing their true character count. Other servers may have more characters in their database than they show.

yeah heavy pruning of the maximum characters after the cause for FLadmin/FLserver failing to ban/kick etc was found. It's directly related to the number of characters, so the FLserver.exe can't always find the character in time to do anything so can't finish the job that the FLadmin dll is waiting for.

So any admins out there if you can't ban someone via Fiik's FLadmin or Joe's FLSO then time to do some winter pruning. Seems the safe figure is maximum of 2000 account folders, less is better. I keep mine under 1700.

@ pinger, its easier to prune now with flso, but i dont think i had any probs banning before, and i had a lot of accounts before lol. somthing around the 5000 mark i think, granted, it took a little longer, but fladmin 1.29 used to manage it ok. quicker since the trimming tho

If you have a server that isn't included, then you'll need to install FLstat and email the server details to: flstat (at) cryosphere.co.uk.
