UNABLE TO CONNECT TO ANY SERVER!

just recently i fire up freelancer, go to multiplayer and click on any random server, i get the THIS OPERATION IS TAKING LONGER THAN EXPECTED screen for about 1 minute, then it says that the password and login i provided are invalid for the server! it never did this to me, why did this have to happen now?

That message is usually when the server has turned account creation Off. So no idea why your getting it for all servers, unless you just tried a couple.

So when you click a server in the list and it has a scroll bar in the Server News then thats usually a server with Account Creation off, scroll down to check.

A friend of mine was having a similar problem, make sure that you msn, yahoo messenger, Icq and aol messenger turned off before trying to connect, I guess those programs capture some of the ports used by the game. after he killed those programs he logged in without a hitch. Maybe I'm off the beam but it did work in his situation so it's worth a try.

i turned every single program off, started up freelancer and tried again, every single server in the list does not connect, each and every one.
