LAN Server

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

LAN Server

Is it possible to run a LAN game with a server and a client on one machine and a client on a second machine? Using the same CD key?

Nope, both installs of the game look for the disc, I even tried to map my cdrom as a drive on the other computer, no go, the disc has to be in a local drive.

yes it is, after install on your games machine, when u try to connect mp for the first time, it will open a create mp account box opens, just put the same key in thats held on your server

also once the game has loaded to the main menu you don't need the disc in the drive so all you need to do is load one game and move the disc to the other machine.
