Global Players Stats

Here is the Freelancer Global Rankings - It shows the top 500 characters, sorted by both Kills and by Rank , as well as the top Cheats . Updated twice a day.

man that hawkster has had a lot of kills, oh, and i didnt think player kills counted

You might be right about player kills not counting, but I've never had the chance to test this. Can someone confirm this for me?

Just means he has one character. On my current server I have 5 mostly with about 2000-3000 each and have used about 25 more in total on other servers, so it's not a unobtainable kill count.

Cryogenius, i can confirm it .. i have a char with no kills,. killed a player,. and its still no kills, actually i killed 2 lol..

It would be cool if they put a PvP kill counter on the game.

Sadly, there is no PvP counter in the system - I've looked (thanks server). Perhaps someone can write a program to monitor the log files, and count kills, etc?

Meanwhile, has anyone got another server to add to the Global Stats? Please email me...

Update on Freelancer Global Rankings
Now includes over 20 servers, and a list of cheaters (at least of the money variety) are automatically detected, excluded from the rankings, and shamed on a seperate page...

think your cheat detection needs tweaking, as most from OneTel where on a night when somepne was killing trains out side freeport 4 for everyone and the rest are second or third characters.

You could have said my Admin ship is a cheat when I made it by your calcualtions, as I transfered about 2 mil to it from my then main money maker

Okay, so I've tweaked it to be less sensitive - most of OneTels chars are now off the list. Only one left is Xeon, who's done awefully well for 51 minutes.

What is the criteria for cheat-spotting, just out of curiousity?

I don't want to get into a discussion on what does and does not indicate a cheat, I just think it would be nice to know what criteria are used when we are looking at the lists. I woud hate to see someone accused of cheating when it might be explainable under the criteria given for the spotting.
