Sounds like the Server Deputy was doing his job, good for him, he should get medals....
When he started asking you, you should have told the truth, apologized, got out, and turned off the mod, instead you tryed to evade him, sounds to me like you got exactly what you deserved.
A lot of really good servers have been screwed up by people who "accidently" log in with mods. I'm glad Elite is doing something about it, I wish others would follow suit.

I have a no tolerance rule on my server. Your caught, I don't care, your banned. No questions asked.

Should have worked with them if you are given the chance, when you argue back they think you are being evasive, and gee you get banned, who woulda thunk.

For all the others, you want to mod? Do it on a modded server. Modding IS cheating unless EVERYONE has precisely the same mod(s). It has been said many times, it loads down a server and thus you affect other players which is not fair and not tolerated by non-cheaters. As cheaters get more bold, stealthy, agressive, mean, vindictive, rude, bored, evil, hurt, petty, (enter your favorite description), the sysadmins have to work harder to stop them. While this may be a bit restrictive to non-cheater players, most of them appreciate what the sysadmins are doing and in fact, help police the servers for cheaters. Specifically in Elite there is a "Cheater's Alliance" where if a cheater is identified all wars are put on hold to single out, identify and push out the cheater. I have seen NEO/RN/NoTec/DG/SW/FF versus WP/LD/SE/LIB fights stop in an instant and everyone chase the cheater.

Elite's very popularity shows that it IS right. For Elite.

As for my server I am like Elite, TLR affiliated - well that is if Stinger will accept my ancient request. Then all I need are players!

One thing I wasn't modding. I said I was working on a mod and left it on by accsended. Also he ban me when I was tring to tell him about. Its like being sent to jail with out even trile.

If you say the Titan can't turn. Try a battle ship mod and then see what can't turn....yep there about the same :/

One thing it wasn't even done yet. Also its a system mod were I change some stuff in mahattan. Its not like a uber shield mod. I didn't hurt any one person, serbver, or even NPC

Your mod, and every mod for that matter, exists of changes in the original code, being just edits, addings or removals, it still are changes. Other people without these mod still have to receive and read the data about that. Not once, but constantly. This is going to take up some bandwich. It doesn't matter if it are a few colums, a few lines, a few words for my part, it wil lstill take bandwith since everyone elses comp needs to read that data.
Thereby, every mod, including yours is hurting *EVERY* other player on the server and thereby EVERY modder using a mod that's NOT VERY SPECIFICLY allowed on that server should be kicked and possibly banned.

No further discussion possible. Period.

You guys don't get it at all. I wasn't mod for gain of to kill someone. I was working aon a mod and accesadently left it on. I didn't mean to have it on. The thing is he didn't even give me a chanse. This has nothing to do with the system mod I'm working one. He ban me in the mibble of me telling him what it was. What happened was I was docking with Manhattan. It kicked me out of the game because I had my mod on. I turned it off and went back to the server. He then started to ask about how I was kicked. I said it was a system mod Iwas working on. He then started to say things like"just tell me up front" and " I know your hinding something from me" Then he just ban me.

That about says it all, you can revise your story as much as you like, your own words are not helping your case.
ANY mod, I repeat ANY, adversely affects an unmodded server, it doesn't matter if its not meant to hurt anyone, it hurts the server, and that hurts evryone.

Warblaze, I have read this thread and feel some need to set the record straight. I was the one who you were being evasive to...er talking to.

You got booted from the server (FACT) while I was on-line server as a deputy. You came back on (FACT) and I immediately started to grill you about why YOU thought you got booted. You didn't repsond right away (not uncommon) but I was persistent. You admitted to me you were using the game differently than the way it was designed. I asked you not once, not twice, but 4 times to explain to me exactly what it was you were doing. ALL server duputies have the right to question suspicious characters expecially the ones that get auto-booted and logs right back in like you did. You're final response to me was "I have a right to keep things to myself." Well newsflash, you have no rights not while you're playing on someones elses server that has ZERO tolerance for cheating/modding/hacking as it clearly states on the server news. I was actually being cordial, but firm and was seriously considering not banning you IF you'd just told me then what it was you were specifically doing. Your evasiveness got you banned. You had your chances on Elite.
