FLstat Beta Patch

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

FLstat Beta Patch

Calling all FLstat users!

I've added a few features to FLstat, and I'd appreciate any testing that you could do for me. This version is specifically targeted at people with big servers with a large number of characters, who don't want to list every single character.

Edit: Beta testing has finished, and v1.1 has been released. Get it here! 24th July .

Changes:
o Display of Money and Kills with comma-seperated thousands.
o Display of login time/date to more readable format.
o New command line options:
-top N - Show only top N characters.
-rank N - Show only characters at rank N or higher.
-days N - Show only characters which have played within the last N days.

Specify any of these options in the file "update.cmd". For Example: <pre><font size=1 face=Courier>FLstat.exe -rank 25 > middle.txt </font></pre>

Please let me know if you have any problems, questions or suggestions on how to make it better.

Cheers,

Cryo.

i dont suppose there's any way around this problem cryo, but all arrow < > clan tags dont show up on the table, so someone like <clanner>_bob only shows up as _bob. The actual HTML coding shows the tags, but when displayed it does not. I'm pretty certain this is because it thinks the tags are actually HTML commands and hides them, like it would a <br> command or whatever.
Seems unlikely there's anything you can do about it as its more on the HTML end rather than flstat, but i might aswell ask, cos you never know
would it perhaps be possible to do a kind of replace command that replaces any <>'s with *'s or ['s or something? or is that too farfetched? heh,

Anyway, thanks for the great tool,
Cogen

Thanks for the note, Cogen.

I should be able to fix it by replacing a < and > characters with the &lt; and &gt; HTML codes. It's not something I thought of, so well spotted! Let me know if you see any problems with other characters... for example, I could imagine any of: " & or ! screwing things up too.

Cheers,

Cryo.

OK chaps,

I have a new Beta version of FLstat available for download (here). I have fixed the problem with special characters < > & , and tested others to see if they are also a problem. So far, these 3 are the only ones I have found.

I have also documented the new -pos option, which adds a Pos column to the left of the Name. Guy at top is number 1, next guy is 2, etc. Note: you'll have to edit your "header.htt" and "table.css" files if you use this option - see readme.txt . Try it and let me know what you think...

Cheers,

Cryo.

Woohoo, getting better and better
The joys of beta!

I know what you mean about characters like " ! and & screwing things up. Its like that with PHP coding aswell.

I knew there was something else I wanted to add, and now that you add it I remember it. Position numbers! lol, good one.

I guess we'll try it out and get back to you

Cogen

Excellent job... well done!

Previous HTML page was about 450K - now reporting just the top 200 and creating a 80K file and eliminates all the level 1 players who don't bother coming back!

Man, I love this program!! ;-)
