Prometheous NJ Server
First off, lets start with Kudos going out Prometheous, for stealing fire from the Gods to distribute to us mere mortals, who frolick on the server. May you forgive me for any unwanted attention this post may generate.
I like the idea you established with the [Pirates class, I appreciate your enforcing the no hacking. I love the mods youve taken the care of chosing to be active; not for what they allow, but for the simple fact that I dont need any of 'em to run. (Yes, I play the game in its unaltered form.)
My point in posting was not to flatter, nor create public awareness of your server, but to propose an Idea expanding on your [Pirate concept, IE other classes. People play the game in various styles, and essentially fall into one of these classes.
So I figure that setting them up in a place where -all- could establish their intentions, will put a little bit more RP into the RPG of the
G(ame), as players on This server could come here and 'Post' themselves as available for hire under their respective class, Announcing their in-game name in-conjunction with their intended Profession:
-Courier: Merchant, Trader, Smuggler, the names change only with the amounts and legality of your cargo. The point is, you move goods from point A to point B. Youre ALSO an excellent source of info on who gives the best prices on any given commodity, and where it can be had.
-Scout: Youre the type who has to KNOW every nook and cranny of every particle cloud and Nebula. You know where the wrecks are, the Jump-holes, the hidden bases, etc. If someone is looking for a good screenshot, you can direct 'em to the area with the best background. You also know the shortest path between point A and point B, and generally which factions can be found there.

The first 2 proposed Classes are harmless. This one is not, so I dont suggest anyone tries the following until Prometheus Himself announces it accepted in the server news.
-Contracter: This would be an Assassin. Lets face it. PvP Enabled, Pirates are a valid class. Players will kill players, Period. Lets make that concept interesting, Yes? There are rules to a contract, however;
A) A contract fee can never be less than 10k -times- the intended targets level.
B ) Upon entering the system the target occupies, the Contracter announces on the system channel: "A contract has been accepted" for all players to hear.(Also Identifing the Contracter for what he is.)
C) Upon successful completion of the contract, the (Respawned) Target is given the fee paid to the contracter, Less 10% for tax purposes.
D) Violators of the rules of the 'Contract' are subject to punishment by the System Administrator and/or Other legitimate 'Contracter's 'til they get bored of dealing it out.
