SeattleBased - Player Request

Here SysOps can list their MultiPlayer server info and users can send feedback to their SysOps. Or just talk about the MultiPlayer servers they play on. This is not about MultiPlayer in general - please use the MultiPlayer Forum for that!

SeattleBased - Player Request

When I lost my account because of the server wipe, I accepted it because I was told weeks in advance. When the server came back, I played serveral hours and got back what I lost...then data corruption means I lost it again. I then started a THIRD time and it looked like I was on a role. Now I can't access the internet with win98, making my new account useless. (but still there)

Basically, I've created an account with winXP and I would like my character to be moved to that one. The character I want moved is "Braxton"...and the new account has a character called "Braxton2" so it should be easy to find.

Just so you know, doing this will really be appreciated. I just don't want to start over a fouth time.

TOOLS REQUIRED :
One good telephone
to call server at home so he can look in the multi player accounts he deleted by doing wipe which are not retreiveable
then some nice knee pads to beg for the server to spend hours trying to find an account that no longer exists
My suggestion is to quit whining about starting over have a dedicated communIcation to a server to play on
so you know the changes made and what you can do and not do
SO you are invited to play on my server KINGS_CLAN_THE HAMMERS ROOM
we test new mods and games change daily
you must have teamspeak2 to play
flmm1.2
and you reply to this i will give further details
dont forget to bring toolbox

"Trying to find an account that no longer exists" Yeah, someone here looks stupid for what they wrote...but that someone is you. Your entire post was based on something I DID NOT say!

If you read the message properly, you would see that I want an exsisting character MOVED...unless there was a second incident of data corruption, or another server wipe (fat chance). Win98 is not working so I can't access my account anymore, not even with winXP (due to different ID). I just want my character moved to the account created by winXP so it'll be usable again.

BTW, I was not moaning, I was just stating what happened so he knew how important it was to me. So you judge me and you mock me...then you use the message to advertise your server. How dare you!

Actually when people talked about backing up the account ID, I thought they meant write down the number somewhere. But even if that's possible, I just discovered that the number I wrote down was the product ID.

So with that said, my request still stands. But thanks for trying to help.

Nope, not gonna spend the time and it would be a royal pain.

Let this be a lesson to read instructions, when the game tells you to write down your MP ID, write it down. You may need it ;-)

Lets be clear here. That wasn't me. I go by Holliday, but not Doc Holliday on that server. And there is no way I would kill anyone anywhere.

I only asked because I thought you could use that tool (the one that you said could easily find and sort character names) to do it...apparently not.

Maybe it's best to keep it where it is. After all, I'm still hoping to restore win98 which will hopefully allow me to access it again. Besides there's also the Jolt.co.uk server where I got a supped up Eagle that I want to get back to.

You need to talk the admins of some of Servers youv'e been on, at least one of them might be able to find you your user ID.
User information is stored on the server side, not your computer, the only thing your computer stores for multiplayer is whether or not you've been to a server. And it doesn't matter if you're running Win xp, 98, or 2000, it will just be pure luck to get your original number back by re-installing 98, if you're using dhcp to get an ip, it may have changed by now in which case you're SOL.
As others have said next time use the utility in your freelancer folder to get your number and write that damn number down.

Why are people so rude to other players that need help? No one sypathizes with players that are down on their luck at all. I see a bunch of this happening in other threads as well. A player asks for help and they get flamed or very coldly rejected, like Genedefect did to Braxton. I don't think I will ever play at 24/7 Seattlebased again. I am really beginning to dislike the admin. He has no sympathy for anyone and loves to delete characters and ban people. Sure, maybe Braxton should have done something that he forgot to do, but kindness to others is something we all should not forget to do as well.

Getting your character ID.

You can create your own temporary server on your computer. Then load up freelancer and log on to your own server. Go back to the server program and look at your character ID. That will get your current ID, but not the one that you lost when Win 98 died. The only problem is that your ID might be a little different on each server. I think it might mix your ID with the server ID to make a unique ID on each server.
