24/7 Freelancer Universe

I just placed a Freelancer server in operation.

Server stats:

24/7 Freelancer Universe

Pentium 4 2.0GHz
1GB RAM
SCSI disk subsystem (mirrored for increased fault tolerance).

Server is connected directly to the router serving our internet traffic.
3MB down / 1MB up high speed connection.

Data is backed up once a day.

No modifications are running (except patch 1.1 for Freelancer).

Please do not cheat or run mods on the server.

Have fun,

[WARWarBringer

Thanks for this server; I play on it because it is the best low-ping (~48ms) server with a lot of people on it .

Unfortunately, though you probably will find out before you read this, your server is down right now .

Sorry for the downtime...

the local electric company was installing a transformer on the same telephone pole as our internet feed was on.

according to our provider, the electric truck was one of them cherry picker types. they were using another cherry picker type with a modified boom or mast that dangled the transformer while they installed it.

the boom failed and it "fell", in the process, it ripped out all of the feeds for everyone in a half mile area of our location.

it is up now.
