I do not know for sure if this is true because it did not happen to me (since I had only been playing a short time before the account wipe) but that is why I do not play there anymore. On Elite I usually make an average of almost 10 million credits every four hours. So if what you and many other players say is true (and something the admin may have also admited to though I do not remember) I would be banned before I knew what hit me.

Actually Corwin, you tried to straight up cheat. You either tried to attach a piece of equipment to your ship which is not available or you tried to buy something from a station that isn't available.

I jumped on this server the minute it came back up. I leveled up very quickly using the techniques that most savvy Freelancers use. Looting a few wrecks in Liberty. Buy a Drome quickly and looting a few more wrecks in Sig 13. You know the drill. I was level 45 or so I think when the file corruption took my character with it. I didn’t get banned for leveling up quickly. The admin isn’t an idiot; he knows it is possible to level up quickly and legally.

I did not attach any 'equipment' or cheat in any fashon , however i did get boted for supposedly cheating when i bought a bribe , i know this to be a know n bug of the patch , if that is your reason for banning me you should read up first

but since you managed to ruin my pleasure of playing on your server , don't expect me back ( and by the looks of it not many people are willing to play there anymore anyway, on average you have 10 players)

If he banned you solely on the patch booting you for something then I must agree. This has happened top me on multiple occasions on Elite even though I did absolutely nothing wrong. If akataka were so easily tempered then I would be banned from Elite several times over. Of course you and anybody with similar statements could just be lying. I have know way of knowing for sure but I have heard to many stories about this server and am not willing to take the risk of losing a high level character with over 100 house racked up.

As for having fun with an average of 10 on my server, do you realize that hosting a server isn't about me having fun, but rather those on my server having fun.

As far as I can tell the 150 current regular players on my server are having fun. You are only 1 of 5 people currently banned on my server. Tyco, and Ismackmybitchup come to mind as 2 of the others. Tyco got caught by FLServer trying to cheat twice before I saw it, the other one was a name ban.

I have deleted about 2 dozen names that do not fall into my rules, but I no longer ban for that.

Someone named Robin Hood seems to love my server. If you think I ban on the basis of wealth talk to him. He has 4 characters and well over 2 days total time online on my server since it came up. His highest was up to level 52 this morning.

Being that you are already banned, I really don't care if you ever come back, but just like a couple of previous people I banned when I ran the largest Freelancer server pre-patch, I ask politely that you stop trying to discredit me and my server because you realized you screwed up and can no longer play on one of the fastest (if not the fastest) Freelancer server out there.

Actually that Robin Hood helped me quite a bit in building up my character (thanks for the help)...it's just a shame I lost it all because of that file corruption problem. That's twice I've lost everything, but I'll just hope it doesn't happen to my new character. (fingers crossed)

About there being an average of 10 people at one time. That's because it's barely been up...just wait 1-2 weeks, you'll see the number will be WAY higher. Because remember, there are always new people joining, so the number is just gonna keep rising, regardless of what one may think of the server.

You know, you could just run your own dang server and make up any rules you want and be happier. Flaming of FL server admins will not be tolerated here. It's a labor of frickin' love for us and we don't deserve one single bit of criticism. You act as though you've some god given RIGHT to complain, that is amusing at best.

I will come to the defense of any and all FL server admins that stick their neck out like this.
